Raised in Auckland, New Zealand, Elsa Thorp is a fine art photographer now residing in
Berlin, Germany. She has a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree and exhibits widely.
Ms. Thorp sees her photography as autobiographical. She is a collector of images that evoke
emotion. "I take a photograph because I want to take something away from an event or a
place that is more than a memory," she writes in her artist's statement. "I am drawn to the
past, the hidden, the unnoticed."
